What is the BBA?

The BBA is a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization dedicated to helping businesses thrive across Belleair, Belleair Bluffs, Largo, Seminole, Clearwater, and the Gulf Beaches of Pinellas County. We support business growth through leadership, education, and networking. 

Who can join the BBA?

Any business located in or serving the North Beaches / Gulf Beaches region of Pinellas County is welcome to join. We work with a wide variety of industries—from restaurants and retailers to service providers and non-profits.

What are the benefits of membership?

Members get access to:

  • Networking events (mixers, ribbon cuttings, mixers) to meet other local business professionals and community leaders. 
  • Marketing exposure via our local publications and social media outlets. 
  • Educational workshops and seminars on topics such as marketing, financial management, and business growth. 
  • Leadership opportunities within our organization and community initiatives. 
  • Business directory listing and event promotion opportunities.

What are the membership levels and how much do they cost?

We currently offer multiple tiers:

  • Basic Membership: $145 — provides essential networking, listing, and event access. 
  • Elite Membership: $295 — adds premium features like enhanced social media promotion and special event access.
  • Additional sponsorship / custom membership (“À la Carte” / Sponsorship) options to tailor to your business needs. 

How do I join the BBA?

Simply visit our “Join Now” link on the website, select your desired membership level, complete the application, and submit your payment. Once your application is processed, you’ll be welcomed into the membership and receive access to events and benefits.

What kinds of events does the BBA host?

We host a variety of annual and regular events, including:

  • The “Bluffs Wine Walk” featuring local businesses, food, music, and fun. 
  • Ribbon cuttings and mixers designed to connect businesses with each other and the community. 
  • Monthly networking meetings and special gatherings for members.
  • Charity and community partner events supporting local non-profits.

What is the #BBAstrong and #BuyBeachesFirst hashtag campaign?

Our campaign encourages local business growth by promoting the idea of keeping commerce and support within our local “Beaches”/North Beaches community. Every social-post, event, or promotion by BBA-members is encouraged to include #BBAstrong and #BuyBeachesFirst to help build local brand unity and encourage community loyalty.

Do we support charities and non-profits?

Yes — the BBA supports local non-profits and community partners in multiple ways:

  • We accept applications from non-profits to become community partners and provide visibility, resources, and networking opportunities. 
  • The BBA donates monthly contributions to local non-profits and gives $1,000+ donations at major events.

Are all members of the BBA also members of any larger organization?

Yes — an important update: All present and future BBA members are also members of the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce. This provides additional benefits and access to broader regional business resources.

How is membership renewal handled?

Memberships are yearly. You’ll receive renewal notices ahead of the expiration. At renewal time, you may choose to upgrade to a higher tier or maintain your current level. Payment and renewal instructions are provided in the membership portal or via our team.
